The wounds of soldiers during wars and other conflicts are treated by the brave medics of our Defence Forces. When warfare is designed to not only kill but maim, defence force medics are the ones on the ground applying first aid to their mates. They treat unimaginable injuries with bullets and bombs going off around them.

We know what a special skill it is to spring into action and help someone in a car accident or when someone is collapsed, but to take action during a time of war deserves special recognition and respect. We ask that you take time this Anzac Day to think not only of those iconic images of those who served, but to also remember the medics.
